At
the heart of ISD Corporation's suite of products, eICMS
is a full-featured, robust application that automates and tracks
all aspects of the case life cycle for both civil and criminal matters.
eICMS offers a comprehensive suite of flexible, highly configurable
modules designed to fully automate small claims, civil, criminal,
juvenile and minor offenses (i.e., traffic violations), as well
as supporting fiscal accounting modules. Requiring minimal clerk
intervention, eICMS facilitates the efficient and reliable collection,
organization, distribution and retrieval of significant amounts
of case-specific data as well as the processing and recording of
payment of filing fees and fines.
Where
appropriate, all modules seamlessly interface with other agency
computer systems both internally within the county network of agencies
and courts, such as social
services and juvenile justice departments, and externally to agencies
such as law enforcment agencies and departments of motor vehicles.
While
eICMS
is based on a single set of codes that operates in each client
court, courts are offered flexibility in all aspects of the system
through user defined tables. Each court is provided the opportunity
to configure its own case types and categories, complaint types,
party types, payment types, actions, minutes and disposition entries.
eICMS
also allows courts to customize court calendars, minute orders and
notices.
eICMS
offers additional enhanced features unique to criminal case processing.
Some of these features include user-defined tables for actions,
minutes, criminal charges, fine distributions, JUS 8715 processing,
ROR (own recognizance) processing, victim restitution processing,
minor offense/traffic processing and automatic system checks for
prison sentence terms in accordance with California Penal Code.
eICMS
features are designed with built-in flexibility that allows the
creation of codes that are unique to each court. eICMS
also has the capability to administer rules that assist in preventing
case processing errors.
